Good Evening CMHS Parents, Caregivers, Students and Guardians,

After attending our Dance Fusion event on Wednesday evening, I was once again reminded of just how exceptional the PVA programs are at CMHS. I absolutely love our dance program and am always struck by the energy, passion, and artistry our students bring into the room. This performance was truly brilliant; anyone in the audience could feel the depth of personal expression each dancer brought to the stage. It was powerful. I happened to be sitting beside our school resource officer, Constable Courte, and we were both so impressed by what we witnessed. It was a proud principal moment, and I found myself saying to him, “These are all my kids.”

Dance education plays a pivotal role in the development of young people, offering far more than an artistic outlet. It fosters essential life skills that carry into many aspects of personal growth. Our dance program provides a supportive environment where students can express themselves creatively, build confidence, and take risks. As they learn new movements and techniques, their confidence grows and extends well beyond the dance floor, positively influencing their academic work and social interactions.

If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to attend one of our school performances, I truly hope you’ll make the time. They are such a treat. As I’ve shared before, when I bring friends to these events, they are always amazed and often say, “I thought we were going to a high school performance.” Our students really are that good.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Anne Kromm

Principal
